What we're looking for

We are looking for a Sr. Game System Engineer to help lead the design and implementation of our gameplay systems.
Flexibility, autonomy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and remote environment are required, but we pair that with a great team and a fun atmosphere with a love of gaming. We are trying to do something unique and be good thought leaders in the Web3 gaming space. You will work closely with our Game Product Manager.

Responsibilities

Work with the design team to architect, engineer, and implement new systems and tools to facilitate the creation of exciting new content by members of the design team.
Liaise with multiple departments and studios to create and/or extend our systems and tools.
Create and/or maintain systems and tools while managing strict deadlines against the needs of other developers.
Provide clear and detailed reports of bugs to design and other teams.
Follow up on features post-launch to improve, add, or remove components (in certain cases).
Stay up to date on best practices to keep up with the industry, develop your skills, and refresh your knowledge.
Adapt to technical and production constraints, reworking designs when and as often as needed.
Assemble all software and hardware required.
Data entry and management of game database assets.
Write clear and concise game design documents.
Research and implement third-party services.

Requirements

A Computer Science or Game Design degree with a programming focus is considered an advantage. However, relevant experience is taken into consideration.
Strong programming skills within the scope of an object-oriented language.
A strong understanding of top-down design, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and game design principles.
Excellent communication, technical, and problem-solving skills.
Highly organized with a proven ability to deliver on deadlines.
Passionate about tools, systems, and methodologies that will support a team that is similarly passionate about creating games.
Highly motivated, positive, and personable, with the ability to work as part of a team.
Adaptable, can multi-task, and prioritize work based on changing schedules and feedback/critiques with a detail-obsessed eye for quality.
Ability to architect, engineer, and implement clean and concise APIs.
Strong with C# language.

Plus

Familiarity across one or more languages or similar: Javascript, Typescript, Python, HTML5, CSS.
Familiarity with online gaming communities and live streaming platforms.
Familiarity with creating a multiplayer game.

Step-by-step recruitment process:

1. When selecting a vacancy, make sure all the data/files uploaded are correct.

3. The follow-up selection process will be held at the Digiers Day event on 21 December 2022 in Jakarta.
